The World Archery Excellence Centre offers courses catering both elite and grassroots in archery, acting as a development hub for the sport worldwide and a sports centre for community and organisations in Switzerland.

Discover Archery

Participants learn the basics of archery in a one-on-one session with an accredited coach, with friends or family or as part of a group. Our fantastic staff and volunteers can teach anyone to shoot a bow and arrow safely and quickly, and have a lot of fun in the process.

All archery equipment is provided in our state-of-the-art archery facilities. Dates vary throughout the year and on-demand booking is available.

Who knows, could it be you climbing the Olympic podium next? (No tickets to the Hunger Games available, we’re afraid!)

Purpose of the course:

To introduce archery.
To enable the public to experience archery.
To create an interest for the sport of archery.

Participants will:

Learn proper archery form.
Acquire basic knowledge of archery.
Enjoy the activity and have fun.

Target audience:

Anyone interested in trying archery aged 8+

Discover Archery sessions:

Activity: 1 class
Time: 10:30 to 12:00
Frequency: Once every 2 weeks
Dates: 10.03, 24.03, 14.04, 28.04, 12.05, 26.05, 09.06, 23.06, 07.07, 21.07
Instructor Ratio: 1 coach per 6-8 participants

Start Archery

Our Start Archery classes take you from first-timer to an official archer, teaching technique, safety and the skills of a sport in a one-on-one session with an accredited coach, with friends or family or as part of a group. By the end of the course, our fantastic staff will have anyone shooting comfortably at targets 30 metres away.

Price Group Class

Adults = CHF 450 per person
AVS = CHF 400 per person

Wednesday Lessons: from 18:00 to 19:30

Looking to learn a sport that’s got it all? A precision activity that’s suitable for anyone (over the age of eight) and mightily cool thanks to superstars like Katniss Everdeen, The Arrow and Legolas, archery can be anything from a fun activity with family or friends to a world-class sport, any everything in between.

Our Start Archery classes take you from first-timer to an official archer (which is what you’re then allowed to ask your friends to call you), teaching technique, safety and the skills of a sport in a one-on-one session with an accredited coach, with friends or family or as part of a group. By the end of the course, our fantastic staff will have anyone shooting comfortably at targets 30 metres away.

All indoor and outdoor classes are hosted in our state-of-the-art archery facility, and an initiation kit including elastic training band and finger tab is provided at the start the start of the course. Dates vary throughout the year and on-demand booking is available.

Main goal:

To raise general knowledge and skills in archery.
To enable participants to achieve good results shooting up to 30m.
To guide the archer to choose a bow type.

Goals:

To learn and achieve a proper archery form.
To assimilate the basics of archery.
To help archers enjoy the activity and progress during the course.
To introduce the use of a sight to increase accuracy and consistency.

Anyone who have already tried archery and would like to become an archer. (Recreational level)

Start Archery sessions:

Activity: 10 classes (1 per week)
Frequency: Once per week (A total of 10 classes per group)
Instructor Ratio: 1 coach per 6-8 participants

Improve Archery

Improve Archery is a semi-private class meant to improve the basic skills learned in START ARCHERY and to develop the skills necessary to become a licensed archer.

Sessions Infos

Dates: from 18 April to 20 May (two per weeks)

Wednesday Lessons: from 19:30 to 21:00

Sunday Lessons: from 09:00 to 10:30

Camps for beginners

Are you between the age of 8 and 12? Have you ever dreamed to become an archer? This is your chance! Come and join our camp to discover all the secrets of this unique sport! During this 5-day camp, you will learn the bases of how to shoot a bow safe and accurately, hitting the target each time! You will learn through a variety of different games(sets) and take part in team and individual competitions. In addition, you will have the opportunity to “build your own bow” and test it.

Target: Beginners who have little to no experience in archery, between 8 and 12 years old
