From 14 -18 August, the second session of summer camps for beginners and archery clubs took place at the World Archery Excellence Centre.

This week, the participants of the beginner’s camp got the opportunity to learn about the basics of archery. Guided by the Excellence Centre’s staff, they built their own bow and arrows, and also participated in several activities.

“I liked building my own bow and arrows. I also liked shooting at 8 metres because some of the games were harder, such as the Hunger Games,“ said one of the beginners.
In the summer camp held for archery clubs, participates were able to improve their shooting form, learn physical exercises, bow tuning, competition preparation, and mental attitude.

“Every afternoon, the Korean coach Kyeong Su Jeong taught them several technical points, such as stance, bow hand position, hooking and release of the string.  We also did team shooting and physical exercises with the bow,” said one of the Excellence Centre’s team members.

A beginner’s autumn camp will be held at the World Archery Excellence Centre, from the 9 – 13 October 2017. Registration is open now!
