Australian Compound Team visits the Centre

7 August 2017
From 31th July to 7th August, compound archers from Australia came at the World Archery Excellence Centre to train for the Berlin 2017 Hyundai World Cup.

The Australian compound team visited the World Archery Excellence Centre for a week-long training camp between the World Games in Wroclaw and the World Cup in Berlin. It was the first National team to use the facilities at the Centre as part of a training camp. They practiced in the indoor and outdoor ranges and were able to spend their down time exploring the Olympic capital city, and several tourist locations, such as the Olympic Museum and the Chillon Castle in Montreux.

Thoroughly impressed with the Centre, Louise Redman said “I love the Centre. It’s the best I have ever been to. The lighting is really good for archers, so it’s really easy to shoot in here. There are different options inside and outside and both grounds are set up so well. The gym is the best quality gym I have ever seen. Everything here is exactly what an archer needs when they train.”

The next stop for the 2017 Hyundai Archery World Cup will take place in Berlin, Germany, from the 8th to the 13th of August.
