Marcus d'Almeida trains at World Archery Excellence Centre
The youngest archer to qualify for the Archery World Cup Final in 2014, Brazilian archer Marcus d’Almeida spent a week in the Olympic capital of Lausanne during March 2017.
“The 70 metre indoor range may be the main feature of the centre, but that isn’t the most impressive part. The centre is perfectly designed for archery training. There is a gym with some awesome equipment, a sauna room, a big kitchen, laundry and even a massage chair,” said Marcus.
Marcus was assisted by resident coaches Kyeoung Su Jeoung and Thomas Rufer throughout his stay.
“The staff is also a reason why the place is unique. You will have to visit to understand why it has been named the World Archery Excellence Centre,” the Rio Olympian added.
